Our room and facilities in Grappenhall, South Warrington including fully equipped kitchen and enclosed outdoor area is now available for hire.
General terms and conditions of hire, Friends of Grappenhall library (FGL) building and gardens
Full terms and conditions are available on our website
1/ The caretaking and key holding of the building is done entirely by our volunteers. Who will set out the clean room for you as per your requirements.
Room requirements are to be discussed in advance.
2/ The room is to be returned to the SAME condition at the end of the Hire period. FGL cannot offer a cleaning service for your event/hire.
Under NO circumstances are glitter or party bombs & the like to be used in the building or gardens.
2/ The building may only be used by the Hirer, and for the purpose stated on the booking form, and only during the Hire period.
The Hirer is responsible for any damage (other than fair wear and tear) to the building or any fixtures and fittings. The FGL reserve the right to charge a fee for any damage caused during the Hire period. FGL retains control of the building at all times.
3/ The Hirer agrees that FGL accepts no responsibility for injury or loss to person or property arising out of the use of building, apart from such injuries or loss which arises form FGL responsibilities at law. The Hirer will keep FGL indemnified against any claims for which the Hirer is responsible and should arrange suitable insurance cover against its legal liabilities and provide a copy to FGL if requested to do so.
4/ The Hirer will comply with the provision of FGL’s Health and safety policy and will ensure that all those using the accommodation are aware of appropriate safety procedures.
5/ Where premises are to be used by children, the Hirer must comply with either its own or FGL’s Child Protection Policy.
6/ FGL may terminate this agreement immediately at any time if there is a breach of these conditions by the Hirer. .
It is suitable for parties of up to 70 people, training sessions, quizzes, meetings, regular hires by local community groups and other events.

1 ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Being a member will give you the opportunity to attend and vote at the general meetings including the Annual General Meeting of the company and help you to play a valued part in the work of the library and its ancillary services within the Grappenhall Community.
