Our 10,000th book issue and 900th borrower!

Celebrations at the Library today (1st October 2013): we issued the 10,000th book borrowed since we re-opened in February 2012!
It was borrowed by a 3 year old regular visitor who came with her grandparents and received a bag of sweets to mark the occasion...
She was quickly followed by one of our older readers who has borrowed a total of 124 books since she joined.
As just two of the 895 borrowing members who visit regularly, they have led the monthly book loans to increase by 30% since April 2013 when the refurbishment work was finished.
