A big thank you to Jim Hill, a friend of a neighbour of Grappenhall Community Library, for tackling our hedges, which had grown a little out of control.
Jim bravely trimmed all the perimiter back down to sensible heights in a job that took a few days with petrol hedge trimmers. We are very grateful, the library seems much brighter and for the first time in many months we can now be seen from Albert Road and Victoria Avenue.
For the future, a regular short trim should be all we need!
This is a great example of the kind of contribution that the library needs from volunteers throughout the year. If you think you have some skills, physical or managerial than you could offer to help support your local library and its work, please contact us.
